Set up banquet rooms, tables, chairs, linens, place settings, and service stations according to event specifications. Provide prompt, courteous, and professional food and beverage service to guests. Serve plated meals, buffets, hors d'oeuvres, beverages, and other food items as assigned. Clear and reset tables throughout events while minimizing disruption to guests. Maintain cleanliness and organization of banquet areas, service stations, and equipment. Assist with banquet room breakdown and cleanup following events. Communicate effectively with the Banquet Manager, kitchen staff, and other team members. Respond to guest requests and questions in a professional and helpful manner. Follow all hotel standards, food safety procedures, and responsible alcohol-service policies. Handle china, glassware, silverware, and banquet equipment carefully. Maintain a professional appearance and positive attitude at all times. Perform additional duties as assigned by management. Qualifications & Requirements Minimum of 1 year of previous banquet, catering, restaurant, hotel, or food-service experience required. Previous hotel banquet experience is preferred. Strong customer-service and communication skills. Ability to work effectively as part of a team. Ability to remain professional and composed in a fast-paced environment. Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Ability to lift, carry, and move banquet supplies and equipment as required. Must be available to work a flexible, on-call schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as event schedules require. Must comply with all applicable food safety and alcohol-service requirements. Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Ability to frequently bend, reach, push, pull, and lift. Ability to carry trays and banquet equipment safely. Ability to lift and carry items weighing approximately 25–50 pounds, as required.
